Brief description of ‘Raresa 2003’
The year, was characterised by some higher than normal temperatures and especially in summer, which was very hot. The vineyards with clayey soils, shallow, with little water retention, were presented with water stress, ending with the stocks shedding leaves. "El Turó", on having deep ground and good water retention, the surface maintained the foliage, not so much the fruit. At the beginning of September, we saw that the grape in some zones started become wrinkled, but on the contrary the bunch were maturing very well, better than normal. It was harvested on the 03rd of September 2003, by observing the progression and maturation of the bunch with all the surface foliage. At the end of September it rained, cooling the temperature. October, November the temperatures were normal, with hardly any rain, which allowed the small seed of the grape to mature outside. The skin remained tight; the harshness was lowering slowly and was becoming more agreeable. In the middle of November good progress was felt and these small pearls tasted of honey. The harvest was carried out on the 23rd of November 2003.

Elaboration
Destalked, cold maceration at 4ºC, fermentation and maceration with the skins for 21 days. Bled the wine must, continuing to F.A., very slowly, (due to the high alcohol content).Tasted periodically until the correct equilibrium and the desired sweetness. At that time it is decanted, cooling to 0ºC with isothermal wrap and sulphurous correction

Taste note
Nose: Elegant, lively with agreeable smokiness, over a dose of freshness, spices and honey.
Palate: Touches of skins, minerals, sweet and liquor wine. Remind olfactory sensations with long and delicious after taste
